With summer temperatures already nearing 100 degrees in Southern California, NexInfo is dedicating time this month to assemble hygiene kits for the local homeless.
During the summer especially, the luxury of a clean body and being able to put on a fresh pair of socks is hard to come by for the majority of the homeless population, which according to a 2016 study published by the National Alliance to End Homelessness
, is 17.7 homeless people per 10,000 people in the general population.
Want to get involved? Create kits of your own for your local homeless community! Here’s a list of some items you can include to help you get started: Socks, soap, washcloth, toothbrush/toothpaste, nail file, shampoo, Q-tips, wet wipes, deodorant, bottled water.
